Went for Ministry of Sound pre-launch last night to check out the club and boy was I impressed. First of all it's HUGE (We're talking the whole cannery at clarke quay which is about twice the area of zouk But this one is TWO levels! There's even an escalator in the club to get to the 2nd floor. Haha) They can take in 3000+ so I'll warn u now the queue to get in will snake all the way out from clarke quay onto river valley road but it moves reasonable fast so just be patient (or be impt enuf to skip queue. heh)

The main hall is for MoS' trademark house music and boy was it good. They brought in their UK DJs and the difference is palpable (I dun really dig house most times) cos it was as trippy as what I remembered when I was in UK MoS six years ago (has it been that long) at the height of their popularity. If not for the fact I had work I'd def had boogeyed till late with MissG.
The decor was a nice mix of class and funk with the centre-piece being this waterfall in the middle of the dancefloor that doubles as a projection screen which is uber cool.

There's two other club sections within MoS (a la zouk's 3-1) which have disco-retro music and the other plays the ever-safe RnB Hip hop tunes. The former has a groovy Saturday Night fever dance floor with the multi-clour lighted suqares that is just a sight to behold. The latter has this ghetto concept with a wire fence encircling the middle of the room. Nice idea but I'm not so hot about being crushed against the fence when it's reeeally crowded.

It's been a good week so far cos work has not reached zenith proportions yet so it's been a comfortable bedding in period; plus my view offsets quite a lot of pain now. Hehe.

Pics from MoS and the week as well as my office will be up as soon as I can download Hello properly without obstacles.
