Some random inane musings on the bus to work on an appropriately haphazard day where the rain was stop-start stop-start...
I don't get why people do that 'pat pat' thing to seats on the bus. Why is that? Perhaps it's to get rid of the dirt/germs from the last person, then u got ur hands dirty which is far worse than ya bum. Perhaps it's to defray the heat built up. But then some of these people do it so softly hardly helps in that sense. Like the woman on my 186 to work today, just lightly 'pat pat' the seat. So light she might as well not! Why do they do it pray tell?!

Do you ever wonder what's playing in the vehicle next to you. I get that every now and then and today I saw this phua chu kang fella with a uppity lookin woman in the pick-up next to me during a traffic stop; the woman was visibly irritated or turned off by the choice of music even though the husband (I'm assuming) changed two CDs in the time the light was red.
Then there's those fellas nodding their head to the music in the bmw next to u. Wonder what they're listening to. Eminem? Backstreet Boys? Pavarotti?(nah. no beat to follow there) AC DC?? heh.. I'm reminded of those scenes in movies where the camera zooms in on each vehicle in foreboding of a accident or disaster that's gonna happen.. And u hear what's on their car radio just before the big crash happens. Country in the old southern git's truck... hip hop in the black ghetto boy's ride... 80s adult contemporary in the John Doe's car.... So many different tunes, all at the same time. Music is food for the soul. Especially on the road.
