As I was mulling about life, love, debt equity swaps, quantum mechanics and other complicated things in life, oh what surprising news my mum had for me.

She steps out at midnight when I return home (in itself a surprise!)
And tells me she started swimming lessons today!
Like just like that cos the class was today.

For all the baggage, hang-ups and overzealous caution that is my mum, that is seriously amazing. I mean she had been thinkin abt it this weekend but still..
The spontaneity. The grabbing life by the balls. Totally out-of-character!

I am officially still in shock.

Nice shock.
