A friend of a good friend of mine just passed away recently.

I had JUST met him on two fridays ago, before he, his wife, my friend and their group took a trip to Bali for a short week-long break last week. He was surfing off the coast and he was overcome by the waves. It was tragic. And certainly hit home for me cos I have just met this guy. He was fun-loving and loved partying his wife and they were telling me about their little boy.

I can still remember his grinning face in under the multi-coloured lights and his jovial manner. So full of life.

Alas, in the blink of an eye, he's gone. How fine the line between life & death. Treasure those around you. It may be the last time you have them around.
