The fresh crisp night air
So wonderful to walk home in after the rain.
It makes you feel invigorated, alive
My ipod provided a soothing soundtrack of iris, name & banana pancakes
Your senses appreciating the smell, the sounds of car rolling through the rain.
A certain calmness pervades

A lighthearted mood after a good night at chip bee
Back-to-back episodes of mad men with my favourite people
After a long-overdue run that did me a world of good

I caught the last bus on the walk back, a lucky happenstance
Cos I wasn't counting on it having missed the scheduled midnight one I usually took
Skipped off the 48 after two stops and up to mine.
Now sitting here in the warm glow of my room.
