Ended off with a trip to Toa Payo Lor 1 for some carrot cake but the stall was closed... for a month ! And what's more we found out they only open for 6 hours a day. Still they earn enough to be able to take a month's break. Can you imagine how much they must rake in to be able to afford to do that? Hawker life here I come! haha..

Anyways the guys had some hokkien mee which they said was quite alright (only 4 chopsticks in any case) plus we had a nice gorgeous plate of chicken wings. Really tasty wings, though not in the makansutra guide. I've always said you can't go wrong with roasted chicken ;)

The trip ended with a group of 6 guys (one more joined us) talking utter nonsense and laughing incessantly as everyone around us left & the hawkers started to close shop and wash up. Oh the simplicity of having a day out with the guys.
