This NYE must be one of the most anti-climatic ones in recent years. We had a great plan with a room at Pan P and dancing all night at the salsa party in chijmes like last yr. Unfortunately my good fren murphy decided to drop by. Didn't totally blow everything but I was kinda frustrated in the end. Pan P started off well enough with a brilliant view of the fireworks which I've got on video for anyone that would like to see the glorious tribute to how to waste taxpayers' money ;) *lol*

Thereafter caught the United romp to a 4-1 win at Bolton. Night seemed destined for great things. Even the normally idiotic cristiano was did gd with a double strike (but therein I shdve realised something was wrong :p ).

Noir & frens were separated from us due to the network jam and due to a combination of too many pple being in our pan p party as well as the NYE tendency to hang ard and booze, we only got out to chijmes about 1plus. Another downer cos we found lovely salsa beats replaced by retro. Insipid retro at that.. I'd have been delighted with good retro for the night. And the place was half dead by then with most of the crowd having moved on to better pastures.

Went to fetch my sista S from Loof: this hip new rooftop place run by ACJ-RJ old boys that I just haven't gotten ard to until then. Quite easily found her... And just about everyone from my college past I hadn't seen in ages. Many hellos and snaps then off we were to rejoin the gang. #3 was the split in the group as someone had a problem so it sucked half the group back to the hotel. Met with noir & her group but they went off for the night too. Stayed with the remnants of the group and chilled out at Ch*na J*mp before heading back with our tails between our legs. Where we found the rest half-asleep, pissed out or getting ready to go home.
*groan*

I was ultimately frustrated by the fragmentation of the gang (thru no fault of our own) plus the lack of dance on the night.
*sigh*

On the bright side: I met quite a few interesting pple and ultimately enjoyed the evening without any worries or distractions like the last year.

So less high, but more peace :)

So I hope 2006 brings peace, joy, fun, laughter and love to all of us.

Screw 2005... Rock on 2006!
